Being a teen, dating for you might be a new experience that you are willing to try especially when you are out with friends. However, it would be very difficult for you to accept the fact there is so much to learn first before getting serious in establishing a relationship. The following tips would be very helpful in your dating process and will serve as precautionary measures too when you are out dating.

There are five basic dating tips for teens who are engaged in traditional or in online dating. First, on your first or second date together, make sure to go out with another couple. Or to be safer, go with a group of friends. Second, do not go on an isolated place. It is important to stay in a place where there are people who can hear you when you call out for help. The person you are dating may be a friend or someone you met in school but do not take chances.

Being a teen, you are still young and new to the dating world so you must be very careful. Third, set and live by the limits. These limits can be on the physical contact and emotional attachment. Fourth, be clear when it comes to saying your wishes as well the guidelines both of you have to follow.

It is significant to learn how to day "No" to requests you think are not appropriate and not legal. Fifth, learn to decipher the warnings and the actions that gives the message that your date isn't worth the time and effort. Do not be a victim of unwanted manipulation as well as blackmail.

On the other hand, for the teen's parents, they should also be aware of what their teens are going through. Being a parent, you must be keen when it comes to their dates. Make sure that the person he or she is dating is a good person. This can be through having an open communication with your teen and asking who the guy or girl is.

When being introduced to your child's date, you must be friendly and respectful too so that they will be more open to you when it comes to their relationship. Further, be a good model to your teen. Give her examples and tips to be more cool but vigilant too when she is dating. One of the significant things that a parent must teach his or her teen is to "how to say no" to requests he or she do not like or are not right.

This is more especially needed for girls that have to say NO to sexual requests of their dates. Tell your teen what is right and what is not good for him or her. Of course, this must be on a very friendly manner to be able not to scare him or her. Moreover, remind him or her that you are there to support them well. Your teen must feel that you are not a hindrance but a mere friend ready to help in times when you are needed.
